Last Tuesday was a big day for team sports, with our Hockey and AFL teams taking to the field at their respective ACC Carnivals. Two of our three teams won their divisions!

Our Hockey team, coached by Mrs Daley, comprised of 14 girls from Years 8-12. While most of the team were hockey players, five had never played before. The team competed against Ellenbrook Secondary College, St Mary MacKillop College, Mandurah Catholic College and John XXIII College. St George's Anglican Girls' School also competed. The Grand Final against John XXIII College was a tight match and the girls came back from a score of 2-1 down to win the game 3-2 in the last 20 seconds of regular time.

Meanwhile, at the ACC's North Metro Eagles' (Boys) and Dockers' (Girls) Cup Lightning Carnivals, the boys, coached by Mr Skerratt and Mr Clement, were crowned Champions after winning all four of their games. They have now qualified to compete in the Eagles School Boys' Cup Grand Final against the south and regional winners next week!

The girls, coached by Miss Saunders and Miss Tedesco, played their three games back-to-back. They won their first two games and were narrowly defeated by football specialist school, Mater Dei, by just five points in the Grand Final.

Congratulations to the players on these fantastic achievements. Thank you to the ACC for their organisation of these events and the parent/caregiver spectators who came along to cheer on our teams.

We are now eagerly awaiting the results of another big inter-school team sport competition - NAS. The last games will be played by our Year 9s and 10s today. GO HEARTS!
