On Tuesday 6 February, we attended the launch of Project Compassion at Newman College with Mr Bothe and Mrs Hywood. Many other Catholic Colleges joined us.
The day began on the oval with a Welcome to Country smoking ceremony.
The Just Leadership Workshop focussed on the 2018 Project Compassion theme 'For a Just Future'. During the workshop we learnt how to lead through service and what inspires others to act with you.
A Shrove Tuesday morning tea consisting of pancakes and fresh fruit was served after the Workshop.
The morning concluded with Holy Mass being celebrated by His Grace Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB.
It was a very rewarding experience as we gained a great insight into the amazing work of Caritas and, in particular, Project Compassion.
