  • The College Calendar is available on the website. Exam timetables will be available on the year group's page under Current Families and advertised in the Newsletter.
  • What do I do if our child needs to be absent from school for an extended period of time?
  • Write a letter to the relevant Assistant Deputy Principal outlining the dates, the reason for absence and a proposal for how the student will make up for schooling that is missed.
  • What happens if my child is sick during the day?
  • Any child who is ill or injured will report to our Health Centre and be assessed by our Occupational First Aid Officer before parents are notified. Students are not allowed to use their mobile phone to call parents.
  • How can my child contact me during the day?
  • Students can report to the PCC to make important phone calls. They should not use their mobile phones during the school day.
  • What do I do if my child has an appointment during the day?
  • Students should bring a signed note and show the current teacher when it is time to leave. Students then report to the PCC, where a parent can collect them from Main Administration. Students will not be allowed to meet parents in locations other than the Main Administration.
  • What happens if my child is late for school?
  • Students should report directly to the PCC to sign in if they arrive after PCG time. Parents are asked to ring the Absentee Line (9246 8288) to indicate the whereabouts of their child.
  • What is the procedure if I want to get a message to my child during the day?
  • We ask that you ring the PCC early in the day (9246 8202 or 9246 8263). While every effort will be made to get important messages to students, we cannot guarantee that messages will be passed on in time.
  • What if my child has forgotten their lunch/recess?
  • The PCC has a system that covers students for the day. Any loans must be repaid the next day. Alternatively, parents/caregivers can drop off any forgotten lunch items to Main Administration.
  • What should I do if I'm concerned about bullying at Sacred Heart College?
  • Staff and students at Sacred Heart College regard bullying as a serious issue and want all students to feel safe at school (see our Code of Conduct HERE).

Please follow the advice suggested HERE and if these actions do not appear to be helping, please notify the appropriate Assistant Deputy Principal as soon as possible. If a student feels more comfortable talking with another member of staff such as their PCG Teacher, they should ask that staff member to inform the Assistant Deputy Principal on their behalf.
  • The College expects all students to demonstrate Courage, Compassion and Respect and any form of bullying is a breach of these values.
