Vacancy: Design and Technologies Teacher

We are seeking a full time Design and Technologies Teacher to join our College. This is an ongoing position, commencing Term 1, 2026.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Learning Area - Technologies, the successful applicant will be an experienced and passionate Design and Technologies Teacher, committed to sustaining and enhancing the College’s strong performance in ATAR Design. 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrated ability to teach Years 11 and 12 Design ATAR.
  • Ability to teach in an additional Design and Technologies discipline would be advantageous.
  • The ability to translate industry changes into contemporary teaching pedagogies.
  • Ability to use and teach a wide range of software.
  • Ability to effectively manage a Pastoral Care Group (PCG), fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborative approach to building positive, respectful relationships with students, parents and College staff.

What we are seeking:

  • A dedicated teacher with the capability to deliver Years 11 and 12 Design ATAR to a high standard.
  • A deep understanding of both the practical and theory aspects of the Design ATAR syllabus.
  • A flexible and adaptable educator, who is able to embrace existing and emerging technologies and teaching practices that support contemporary student learning.
  • A teacher with a growth mindset, a passion for Design, and a willingness to undergo ongoing professional development, to keep abreast with emerging trends.
  • A collegial teacher who values being part of a team, with a willingness to continually help improve the department.
  • An understanding and appreciation of the Catholic ethos, and a willingness to contribute positively to the faith-based environment of the College.
