Vacancy: Engineering Teacher
We are seeking a full-time Engineering Teacher to join our College. This is an ongoing position, commencing Term 1, 2026.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Learning Area - Technologies, the successful applicant will be an experienced and passionate Engineering teacher, committed to sustaining and enhancing the College’s strong performance in ATAR Engineering (Mechatronics) and lower school Engineering programs. You will demonstrate your willingness to actively engage in extracurricular activities for engineering students.
What we are seeking:
- Demonstrated ability to teach Engineering (Mechatronics) across Years 7-12, including Years 11 and 12 Engineering ATAR.
- Flexibility to teach in an additional discipline would be advantageous.
- Active annual participation in state and national RoboCup competitions.
- Leadership of extracurricular activities such as RoboCup and TekHeads.
- Contributing to the management and planning of the department’s ongoing budget via the Engineering Cost Centre.
- Maintain and further strengthen the College’s partnerships with various universities.
- Proficiency in teaching CAD design, prototyping, modelling, laser cutting and 3D, electrical circuitry and coding.
- Ability to effectively manage a Pastoral Care Group (PCG), fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Collaborative approach to building positive, respectful relationships with students, parents/caregivers and College staff.
