Vacancy: Home Economics Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Home Economic Technician to join our College, this is full time, ongoing position, with a start date to be agreed.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Technologies, the Home Economics Technician role is to support teachers by ensuring students have access to materials, tools and the support required for successful hands-on learning experiences, enabling students to develop practical life skills.
Your responsibilities include:
- Reviewing daily class schedules and preparing resources to support practical lessons.
- Regularly inspect equipment and machinery to ensure they are maintained to a high standard and remain in safe working order.
- Ordering, receiving, checking and correctly storing deliveries and supplies.
- Maintaining the preparation room and laundry areas in a clean, organised and orderly condition.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety within all Home Economics learning areas.
- Adhering to Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and safe food handling practices.
