Vacancy: Learning Support Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled, dedicated and innovative Learning Support Teacher to join our committed and highly dedicated Learning Support Department. This a full time, ongoing position, commencing Term 1, 2026.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Learning Area - Learning Support, the successful applicant will demonstrate proven expertise in designing and implementing differentiated programs that empower students to grow, develop their individual strengths, and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities as a Learning Support Teacher:

  • Develop and deliver differentiated programs to meet the academic needs of students.
  • Apply evidence-based individualised education interventions to improve academic engagement, organisational skills, social thinking, peer relationships and self-regulation skills.
  • Monitor, review and report on the performance of students by creating Curriculum Adjustment Plans (CAPs), Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Personal Learning Plans (PLPs)
  • Ensure a high-quality supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and results in academic improvement, using data and evidence-based intervention programs.
  • Provide support to classroom teachers through collaboration, co-planning and modeling of differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Provide support to students and families by contributing to their sense of belonging and overall wellbeing whilst at school.

What we are seeking:

  • A highly skilled teacher with experience in a learning support environment and inclusive education.
  • A sound knowledge of diverse diagnoses, learning abilities and effective strategies to support students’ individual needs.
  • Excellent ability to develop differentiated learning programs to address the learning needs of students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team all learning support team members and all other staff across the school.
  • Excellent ability to build genuine and authentic relationships with students and families.
  • An awareness and appreciation for the Catholic ethos of the College.
