Vacancy: Maintenance/Handyperson
We are seeking a full time Maintenance/Handyperson to join our College in an ongoing capacity. The start date for this position is negotiable, but ideally as soon as possible.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, you will be proactive in ensuring the responsible maintenance and continuous improvement to the buildings, property, facilities and various plant and equipment of the College. You will be a team player with a willingness to support your team and the College community.
What we are seeking:
- Proactive team player who demonstrates initiative.
- Ability to monitor and maintain in safe working order and order various items of plant, furniture, fittings and building infrastructure.
- Ability to be flexible and respond to a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to take direction and work as a team and independently when required.
- Physically fit and able (shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a medical assessment).
- Knowledge of WHS laws and regulations.
- Ability to identify areas to improve continuously.
- High level organisational and administration skills.
- An awareness and appreciation for the Catholic ethos of the College.
Qualifications:
- Relevant trade qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Extensive experience in a similar position.
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual labour duties.
