Extracurricular Tours

Departing in late November, this annual experience provides an opportunity for 15 Year 11 students to connect with the work of the RNDM Sisters. The approximate cost of this tour is $3,000**.

Departing in June for SHGC's Sacred Heart Day celebrations, this annual exchange provides an opportunity for 6 Year 12 students to travel to Oakleigh, Victoria, to build connections with students at SHGC in Victoria and Hamilton, New Zealand. In return, students from SHGC Oakleigh travel to our celebrations. The approximate cost of this tour is to be confirmed.

Departing in the April or December holidays, this biennial experience (2025, 2027, 2029...) provides an opportunity for 20 Years 10 and 11 students to immerse themselves in the Japanese culture and further their knowledge of the language. The approximate cost of this tour is $5,200**.

Departing in the April holidays (from Week 10), this biennial tour (2026, 2028, 2030...) provides an opportunity for 20 Years 10, 11 & 12 students to immerse themselves in the French culture and further expand their knowledge of the language. The approximate cost of this tour is $8,000**.

Departing in the September holidays, this biennial experience (2026, 2028, 2030...) provides an opportunity for Years 10 & 12 students to immerse themselves in a country full of STEM experiences. The approximate cost of this tour is $6,000.

Departing in the July holidays, this experience (scheduled for 2026) provides an opportunity for 40 students in Years 10-12 to fine tune their performance ahead of the Catholic Performing Arts Festival season. The approximate cost of this tour is $3,500**.

Departing in the April holidays, this experience (frequency to be confirmed) provides an opportunity for 20 Years 10-12 students to travel to the Australian Capital and immerse themselves in HASS. The approximate cost of this tour is $3,000**.

Students who qualify through the WA round of the competition have the opportunity to represent WA and the College at the National Finals, typically hosted in Sydney, NSW.

Students who qualify through the WA round of RoboCup have the opportunity to represent the College and WA or Australia at the National or International Finals.

Teams of students who win the State Round of the competition can represent the College and WA at the National Finals.

Through the Cultural Pillar, all students have the opportunity to audition for and then participate in our biennial Whole School Musical. Previous productions have included Footloose (2025), MAMMA MIA! (2023 Catholic Performing Arts Festival Shield Winner), We Will Rock You (2022), Mary Poppins and Beauty and The Beast.

The Year 10, 11 and 12 Drama students also present annual drama productions based on their curriculum. Previous productions have included The Incident of the Dog in the Night-time (2024) and original adaptations of When the Rain Stops Falling.
