Sacred Heart College Recognised as Epilepsy Aware School
We were honoured to be recognised by Epilepsy WA CEO Emma Buitendag for our ongoing commitment to supporting individuals living with epilepsy.
This rare recognition acknowledges organisations that demonstrate best practice in epilepsy awareness and support by:
- Providing epilepsy training for staff
- Maintaining current epilepsy management plans for those in their care
- Hosting fundraising or awareness initiatives within their community
The award was presented during our recent Pop-Up Café for Epilepsy WA, a wonderful community event that raised $400 for the organisation. Students proudly welcomed staff, parents and caregivers, Alumni and special guests, serving morning tea while helping to raise awareness and support for people affected by epilepsy.
This recognition reflects our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and informed environment where every member of our community is supported to thrive.
We thank Epilepsy WA for this honour and for the important work they do in supporting individuals and families living with epilepsy across Western Australia.
