Graduates Selected for Performing Arts Perspectives

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Angelina Curtis and Sofia Rippingale from the Class of 2025, who were two of only eight students accepted into this year’s Performing Arts Perspectives WA for Music. Sofia and Angelina were invited to audition for this highly prestigious program after receiving perfect scores in their ATAR Music Practical Examinations. Selection is extremely competitive, with performers chosen by a panel of industry and education experts to showcase the very best in creativity and talent. Having two performers selected from one school is truly remarkable.

Since graduating from Sacred Heart, Angelina has been studying at WAAPA, where she has been accelerated into the 2nd year of the Advanced Diploma of Music (Music Artist major). She is currently finalising her debut EP. Angelina continues to perform across Perth and had the honour of delivering the National Anthem at the International SailGP series in Fremantle in January.

Sofia has also been busy, with the highlight being receiving a call back to audition for Footloose the Musical, which is set to tour Australia. Many will remember her incredible interpretation of lead character Ariel Moore in our 2025 Whole School Musical Production of Footloose the Musical, and there’s no denying we weren’t “holding out for a hero” - she was made for the show. Although she ultimately had to decline the callback due to her WAAPA study commitments, we are so unbelievably proud of her outstanding achievements.

A massive congratulations to both students.
