Hearts Shine at School to Stage

Aug 11, 2025 6:44 AM

Our dancers delivered an outstanding performance at the School to Stage dance competition on Sunday, with over 100 students representing Sacred Heart across seven routines and winning six medals/trophies.

Congratulations to the following teams:

  • 🥇 Senior Dance Team - 1st place in the Secondary Jazz category (one of the most prestigious awards of the competition). Against 15 other schools, the adjudicators were so impressed they awarded joint Honourable Mentions (4th), joint 3rd, joint 2nd and then crowned us the winners!
  • 🥇 Year 7 Dance Team - 1st place in the Year 7 Jazz category. Choreographed by Year 11 student Amity (Kimberley) and Year 12 student Taisen (Kimberley).
  • 🥈 Year 11/12 ATAR Dance Students - 2nd place in the Year 12 Jazz category.
  • 🥈 Year 9 Dance Team - 2nd place in the Year 9 Lyrical/Contemporary category. Choreographed by Year 12 students Claire (Barlow) and Olivia (Normandy).
  • 🥈 Year 10 Dance Class - 2nd place in the Year 10/11 Lyrical/Contemporary category.
  • 🥉 Sacred Heart Dance Company (Years 7–12) - 3rd place in the Anything Goes category.

Our Year 8 Dance Team also delivered a standout performance in the Year 8 Jazz category, choreographed by Year 11 students Emma (Hannan) and Hayley (Thu Duc).

Don’t miss your chance to see these award-winning routines live, along with other classwork, small groups and solo performances at our inaugural Dance Showcase, Initium, on Friday 29 August (Week 6).

I am incredibly proud of each and every student and the way they represented themselves and the College.
