Japanese Sister School Visits Sacred Heart
On Wednesday 11 February, Sacred Heart College warmly welcomed 84 students and three teachers from Fukui Senior High School, our valued Sister School in Japan. The day visit was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our long-standing sister school relationship and celebrate the global connections that enrich our Sacred Heart College community.
Our guests enjoyed a Welcome Assembly presentation by the Year 12 Japanese class, followed by a comprehensive tour of the campus, beginning at the RNDM Theatre, home of our Cultural Pillar. The group then visited the English Courtyard and Heart & Soul Café, gaining insight into daily student life at SHC.
At the Koort Centre, named after the Noongar word for 'Heart', our visitors explored our Sporting Pillar and heard about Sacred Heart’s strong ACC achievements. They also toured the Arts and Languages areas, where our French and Japanese programs were highlighted, along with the importance of our Sister School partnership with Fukui Senior High School.
From the Library and Mary MacKillop Centre to the Maar Technologies Centre and Science laboratories, the tour showcased our commitment to academic excellence, inclusion and innovation.
The visit strengthened friendships, deepened cultural understanding and reaffirmed the special bond between Sacred Heart College and Fukui Senior High School.
