Kimberley House is named after the Kimberley region of WA in recognition of the courage, commitment and enduring spirit shown by the RNDM Sisters to provide education and Christian values in several remote communities from the 1960s to the 1990s.
Crest Meaning
The crest comprises of:
- Shell – representing the coastal communities of West Kimberley.
- Boab tree – representing the inland communities of the East Kimberley. The boab tree is respected by the Aboriginal people as the “tree of life, mother and protector”
- Caring hands – symbolise the essence of our motto and the spirit of reconciliation
- Fire – a symbol of the Holy Spirit and Jesus as the light of the world
- Palm leaves – taken from the College crest to represent victory and to establish a common connection between the two
House Totems

Kimberley’s House Totems are the Kangaroo and Bloodroot, symbols of strength and healing. Kimberley can look after their totem by being resilient and supporting others.
